Code division multiple access (CDMA) as a means of multiplexing in optical fiber sensor networks has been experimentally studied. Crosstalk levels between channels below -60 dB were demonstrated in a reflective network for Fabry-Perot interferometers. The limitations of the method with regard to crosstalk are discussed.
