An optimization method is presented for the design of baffles for an axial two-mirror telescope. According to the specific criterion of baffles and the inequalities relating to baffles dimension and telescope parameters given in this work, the lengths and diameters of the baffles can be determined. The method overcomes the shortcomings of the graphing method, and it can be finished simultaneously with the optical design to obtain the optimization configuration of the telescope.
