Abstract
Volume 5 of the series Laser Applications deals with recent applications of laser technology. Previous volumes of this series have dealt mainly with physical measurements and physical processes using lasers; in contrast, Vol. 5 covers several chemical aspects of laser applications. The use of lasers in spectroscopy and diagnostics, especially in chemical applications, has been well documented.
