This article [Opt. Eng. 53(5), 051405 (2014)] was originally published on 6 December 2013 with an error in Eqs. (1) and (9). The refractive index $n$ should be in the denominator rather than the numerator in the first term on the right hand side of these equations. The corrected equations are printed below:

S_{C} (z) = \frac{EAO (z) T_{O} T_{S}^{2} η v}{2 n {(n H + z)}^{2}} f_{C} (π, z) β (π, z) \exp [- 2 \int_{0}^{z} α (z^{'}) d z^{'}] S_{X} (z) = \frac{EAO (z) T_{O} T_{S}^{2} η v}{2 n {(n H + z)}^{2}} [f_{X} (π, z) β (π, z) + 2 \int_{0}^{z} γ (z^{'}) d z^{'} f_{C} β (π, z)] \exp [- 2 \int_{0}^{z} α (z^{'}) d z^{'}] .

The paper was corrected online on 11 July 2017.
