1 April 1996 Relationship between speckle correlation and refraction index variations: applications for roughness measurements

In this paper we study the relationship between the intensity speckle correlation of light scattered by ground glass and the diffraction index variation of liquids in which the diffusers are immersed. The results allow us to develop a simple method for measuring surface roughness.
