Abstract

The partially developed, Gaussian speckle pattern generated by TEM₁₀ laser mode is considered. The statistical properties of the speckle pattern are discussed by means of the interference effect associated with propagation of the TEM₁₀ laser mode. The average contrast of the speckle intensity was measured and the experimental data are compared with theoretical results.
