LEDs employing perovskites and colloidal quantum dots now regularly exceed 20% EQE and – for some colors – achieve high luminances. Their performance and stability are quite dependent today on the emitted color (spanning UV to NIR), and the FWHM is excellent in some spectral ranges (green and blue especially) but needs work in others (red and IR). I will discuss the state of art in the field, and also discuss progress toward lasing.
