Abstract
Under different turning radius for pipe elbow containing particulate medium flow problems, the solid-liquid two-way coupling simulation is carried out by using the discrete phase model in fluent fluid simulation software. The influence of different turning radius on the velocity and pressure of the flow field, particle motion trajectory and erosion rate of the pipe wall is studied. The results show that with the increase of turning radius, the flow field in the elbow tends to be flat, the maximum velocity decreases, and the maximum velocity is always located in the inner wall of the bend; the velocity gradient and pressure gradient in the elbow are all reduced; the particle collision with the inner wall of the pipeline is weakened and gradually converges to the outer side of the pipeline; the erosion area of the particles decreases, but the erosion area increases.
