Abstract
The PetroSenseR CMS 5000 is a continuous monitoring system for the monitoring of total hydrocarbons. It is capable of providing real time, in-situ monitoring of hydrocarbons in water, vapor, soil, and the water/vapor interface. To monitor leaks from storage tanks the PetroSenseR probes have to be placed under or around these tanks. In this paper the performance of the CMS 5000 probes under simulated field conditions is described along with data from a field installation.
