Abstract
A database of 2 by 2 foot resolution ISAR images and flight data SAR images of the same vehicles has been used to compare the performance of several SAR algorithms for critical mobile target ATR. Algorithms evaluated include a full image nearest neighbor classifier, a nearest neighbor classifier using principal components image compression, a simple, reduced-dimension classifier where the features correspond to projections of the image onto the principal axes of the imaged object, and a MACE variant composite filter.
