Abstract
Stereolithography is a technology which converts 3-D CAD data to three-dimensional plastic models as a 3-D printer does. The shaped plastic model is useful for a verification model, an engineering design model, a working model, a master model for vacuum casting, a medical simulation model and etc. The fundamental technology of the stereolithography consists of four elements; hardware, software, photo-curable resin and know-how to use, whereas they are based on the key technologies for fabricating model. Out of these photo-curable resin has become the most important item, because the customer uses shaped plastic models with the resin for the research and development.
