Abstract
A Fourier frequency filtering approach is applied to thin film design in situations well exceeding the theoretical limits of the conventional Fourier transform method. Previous work is generalized to oblique incidence. Examples of a high-reflectance filter and a broadband, wide-angle antireflection coating are given.
