1 August 1985 Automated Data Reduction In Holographic Interferometry

Abstract
Probably the most severe obstacle in the widespread use of holographic interferometry has been the methodology for extracting the data from the hologram in a timely fashion. Holography technology makes possible the recording of more data than can normally be used because of this limitation. In recent years great strides have been made toward solving the problem of automated data reduction. Available com-puter power, new codes, and detector arrays have played key roles. This paper summarizes the current state of the art in automated data reduction of holographic interferograms.
