Abstract
A change of image orientation caused by a small rotation of a reflecting prism about an axis P is discussed. Based on image formation for reflecting prisms, a set of simple and explicit formulas for their adjustment is derived. The rotation theorem for reflecting prisms is proved, and the extreme-valued nature of the rotation axis is examined.
