Based on the application scenarios of armed helicopter millimeter-wave fire-control radar, this paper analyzes the requirements for phased array antenna. By comparing the characteristics of slat and tile phased array antennas and considering volume, weight and cost, the tile phased array antenna architecture is a better choice. The phased array antenna for armed helicopter millimeter-wave fire-control radar will be developed towards a low-cost and lightweight architecture.
