Abstract
One major reason for the limited acceptance of holographic nondestructive evaluation (HNDE) by industry is the complexity of interpreting the holographic interferograms. To alleviate this problem, we developed a system comprising a self-scanned photodiode array, microprocessor controlled acquisition subsystem, and a link to a time-sharing computer. The system is described and results demonstrating auto-mated flaw detection are presented.
