Abstract
We suggest a technique for the semi-automatic registration of medium-scale traveling ionospheric disturbances (MS TID) by the Z-shaped disturbances on the upper beam of the oblique-incidence sounding (OIS) ionogram. We test the method for a quiet day of March 26, 2017. We compare the cases of MS TID registration and registration of large-scale traveling ionospheric disturbances (LS TID) defined by variations of maximum observed frequencies.
