The paper presents the results of lidar studies of turbulent fluctuations of the vertical velocity when internal gravity waves (IGW) arise in the atmosphere. It is shown that IGW can lead to oscillations of the vertical velocity at frequencies corresponding to the spectral frequency range of turbulent fluctuations of the wind velocity. As a result, a peak at the oscillation frequency appears in the turbulence spectra, and the slope of the spectra changes.
