Abstract
This study is to integrate the application of BIM used in different stages of project management. In the early design stage, BIM helps decision-making, costing budget, and information sharing, which benefit the following stages most. On the next construction stage, BIM has played an important role in assisting the project's construction process, avoiding construction risks, quality management, and components prefabrication and virtual assembly. When it comes to the later operation stage, BIM has numerous advantages: facility maintenance management, energy, and emergence management, change and relocation management, and safety management. However, there are still some limitations of BIM that are used in different stages of project management. The barriers of technical, personnel, and cost will have some adverse effects on BIM use. Therefore, BIM has played important role in the project management life cycle.
