Abstract
This paper introduces the multimodal capacitated hub location problem with multiple demand classes for the many-to many transportation and distribution systems. This problem integrates multiple practical features of the hub location problems by considering multiple allocation, multimodal transportation, capacity at hubs, delivery-time limits and multiclass demands. The proposed problem aims to minimize the total cost containing the fixed cost of establishing hubs with different modes and the routing cost of commodities with different classes between the origin-destination pairs. Finally, a mixed-integer linear programming model for the proposed problem via a linearization technique is formulated and the computational experiments are carried out based on the well-studied Turkish network.
