Abstract
In order to analyze the performance of permanent magnet synchronous motors (PMSM) with different phase numbers under the condition of loss of excitation, based on the mathematical model of PMSM with different phase numbers, a PMSM simulation model based on Matlab/Simulink platform was built. The model takes the number of motor phases as the input parameter, and obtains 3-phase and 6-phase PMSM by changing the connection mode of the motor. Then, 40% demagnetization is carried out on the 3-phase and 6-phase PMSM, and the current characteristics of the motor under normal operation and 40% demagnetization fault are obtained. Based on the current characteristics of motors, the stability of motors with different phase numbers under the condition of demagnetization is analyzed.
