Abstract
As the most mature and widely used energy storage technology, the pumped storage unit plays an irreplaceable role in the electric power system due to its excellent regulatory performance and all-round auxiliary service capability. However, in recent years, the operation problems of China's pumping and storage power stations have been constantly prominent, mainly manifested in their utilization rate and efficiency. In order to seek a reasonable operation mode suitable for a small and medium-sized pumping and storage power station in East China, through the comprehensive analysis of its static and dynamic benefits, it is clear that the two-system electricity price under the unified operation mode of the power grid is more suitable for the healthy development of the power station. Finally, according to the comparative analysis of the operation mode of common pumped storage power stations at home and abroad, the operation mode and electricity price mechanism suitable for small and medium-sized pumped and storage power stations in China are suggested.
