Abstract
In order to improve the accuracy of speed identification results of traffic accidents, the uncertainty evaluation method of speed model based on tire marks is introduced. Firstly, according to kinematic formula and kinetic energy theorem, the vehicle speed calculation model based on tire marks is established. Secondly, combined with the specific information of an accident site investigation, the vehicle speed model based on tire marks was used to solve the problem, and the method of uncertainty evaluation was applied to obtain the best range of vehicle speed. Finally, the reliability of the model combined with uncertainty evaluation method is verified by MATLAB numerical verification and PC-Crash.
