Abstract
The discovery of non-coding RNAs has opened up a new field in human diseases research because of their critical role in regulating cellular processes. This review focuses on the micro-RNA biogenesis, expression, and function in cancer pathogenesis with miRNAs acting as tumour suppressors or oncogenes (oncomiRs), and the therapeutic approaches such as miRNA mimics and molecules targeting miRNAs (antimiRs).
