Abstract
In order to avoid collision accidents and solve the problem that direct sailing ships cannot accurately determine when they are in an urgent situation when ships meet, this paper collates the previous research on the method of the latest steering point, and based on the quaternion ship field, improves the model of the latest steering point of ships in open waters to make it conform to the restricted waters. According to the international rules for preventing collision at sea, on the premise of considering only turning to avoid collision, an urgent situation model is established through the geometric principle of ship motion, and finally a mathematical model of the latest steering point of a ship in the restricted waters is derived. The effectiveness of this method is verified by simulation data.
