Abstract
The paper introduced an advanced real time optimization algorithm-ECMS, and used in parallel hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV). The mathematical model of vehicle’s backward simulation is established firstly. On the basis of the mathematical model, the requirement of the global optimal strategy is obtained by the hybrid energy management strategy which is derived by Pontryagin minimization principle (PMP), and analyzed the problems that need to be solved when the PMP is used to obtain the global optimal solution. In order to simplify the problems, equivalent consumption minimization strategy (ECMS) is used to approximate PMP.
