Abstract
Conformal array radar system is an important trend for the development of airborne radar system, since the geometric structure of conformal array is consistent with the shape of carrier aircraft, it can expand the antenna aperture and improve the detection performance of the system. In addition, compared with the plane array installed on the platform, it does not change the aerodynamic performance of the aircraft and can effectively improve the flight time and range. This paper analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of airborne conformal antenna array, expounds the development trend of airborne conformal array radar system from the perspective of technical development, and discusses the key technologies and solutions of airborne conformal array radar system associated with the engineering practice.
