Additive manufacturing has become a vital resource for commercial lighting product development that still has significant obstacles to overcome before utilizing the technology to its fullest potential. This collaborative presentation will discuss three distinct case studies that highlight the different benefits achieved from using 3D printing as part of the manufacturing process. The presentation will conclude with key lessons learned, while expanding on the challenges currently faced as a manufacturer that hinder the ability to fully adopt additive manufacturing.
