Abstract
Remote control valve is widely used in nuclear industry. The common used driven types are electrical-motor actuator and pneumatic actuator, according to different source of power. For pneumatic driven valve, once the supplied air pressure is set, the opening and closing force of the valve is finalized. Its control method for opening and closing is stroke switch control. For electrical actuator, the output torque is changeable because of the current changes. Its control method for opening and closing includes stroke switch control and torque switch control. When choosing the actuator for the valve, the torque switch set the valve requirements with margin as the minimum value, and set the structure loads as the maximum value. This paper analyzed the electrical-driven valve configuration in one nuclear power plant, to find out the root cause after on-site testing, which is the switch of delay and stem/nut friction coefficient, and the solution is proposed.
