Abstract
At present, the influence mechanism of road environment on drivers' mood remains unclear. In this paper, electroencephalogram (EEG) and other measurement methods were used to record the physiological and psychological indexes of driving under different correlated colour temperature (CCT) levels (3000k vs. 4000k vs. 5000k) and different brightness levels (20lx vs.30lx). The objective is to verify the effect of road lighting environment on drivers' mood. The results show that the interaction between CCT and illumination and driving task is significant. At 3000k, the drivers' emotional experience is the worst, while 4000k and 20lx are the best for drivers to maintain a good emotional state. However, increased lighting at 4000k and 5000k seemed more likely to cause negative mood in drivers.
