Abstract
Star sensors, as a high-precision attitude measurement device, are widely used in various Earth orbit satellites and deep space exploration fields. Their detection sensitivity has a significant impact on the measurement accuracy and work efficiency of products. A detection sensitivity method for star sensor based on star point matching was proposed in this paper to address the issue of existing sensitivity calculation methods being limited by the maximum sensitivity of star catalogs within the product, which cannot accurately determine the maximum detection sensitivity of star sensors. Firstly, the position coordinates of the detection star in the image are obtained through the connectivity analysis algorithm. Secondly, the position coordinates of the navigation star in the field of view on the detector image plane are obtained based on quaternions and star sensor camera parameters. Finally, the detection sensitivity of the star sensor is obtained by matching the detection star with the navigation star. The ground observation test results show that the star sensor detection sensitivity analysis method based on star point matching proposed in this paper can obtain the detection sensitivity of the star sensor accurately and effectively, and it has practical application value.
