Abstract
This paper based on the summary of the development characteristics and usage patterns of brakes over a long period of time, combined with the requirements of coal industry standards and relevant theoretical knowledge, starting from the material and structural conditions that affect the braking force of brakes, various factors that affect the braking force of brakes are analyzed. Based on the changes in braking torque and the heating work curve of friction torque, the basic requirements and design content of working brake design were discussed, and a new design concept was proposed. The research results obtained the calculation method and causal relationship between the working pressure of the brake, the design of the working structure, the type and quantity of materials, and the braking distance. Furthermore, it was concluded that the sequence of vehicle braking intervention must be from the rear wheel to the front wheel to ensure the safe operation of the vehicle. The research results can be used for the production and processing of brakes, as well as the development of new types of brakes.
