Abstract
It is widely believed that in a reference frame where the body is moving, the body’s relativistic energy obeys the formula E = mc2. In this work, however, we demonstrate form the generalization of Newtonian physics using Einstein relativistic mass that in a reference frame where the body is moving, the body’s effective relativistic energy obeys the formula E = m0c2 + Ek rather than E = mc2; and we will show that no definite value for rest-mass energy m0c2 can be confirmed from E2=(Ek+ m0c2)2=(pc)2 + m0c2)2.
