Abstract
As a popular social media today, Twitter has a huge number of users and extensive social influence. Its news is rich in content, high in participation, and highly interactive. Therefore, it is an important communication platform for news media in various countries. Xinhua News Agency is a very important foreign communication media in China. It has a global news information collection network and can quickly and in real-time publish the latest Chinese developments and news internationally. This paper analyzes and studies the coverage of COVID-19 in China on Xinhua News Agency Twitter in 2021. The research results show that the Xinhua News Agency's Twitter account shows a periodic change in the number of reports on China's COVID-19, and the focus of each stage of the report also has its own focus, the information presentation method is flexible, and the dissemination effect is good. It is an important platform for Chinese news media to report internationally.
