Abstract
An optimization scheme for installing static mixing element in desuperheater is numerical proposed to improve the poor desuperheater effect of traditional desuperheater in limited distance pipeline. By comparing and analyzing the working process and temperature reduction mechanism of the mixed fluid in the traditional and the new desuperheater, the results show that the mixing elements further facilitate the mixing of liquid droplets and superheated vapors, effectively improve the evaporation rate of the droplet, and effectively complete the temperature reduction process of high temperature and high pressure superheated steam. In the same distance of the pipe, the new desuperheater temperature reduction range is increased, and the temperature inhomogeneity coefficient is reduced by about 90%.
