Abstract
To explore the applicability of piezoelectric materials in asphalt mixture, PMnS-PZN-PZT piezoelectric ceramics were prepared by the solid phase method, and the piezoelectric materials were embedded in asphalt concrete. The open-circuit voltage of embedded piezoelectric asphalt mixture under different embedment depths, thicknesses, and loads is tested and analyzed. The results show that the open circuit voltage inside the embedded asphalt concrete decreases with the increase of the embedded depth of piezoelectric elements. The open circuit voltage of embedded asphalt concrete increases as the total thickness of piezoelectric elements also increases, but the increasing trend is small. The open circuit voltage of embedded asphalt concrete is also positively correlated to the wheel load.
