Abstract
Vehicles and roadside of the guardrail terminals collision is extremely dangerous and complex accident. This paper presents a new type of the guardrail terminals structure, utilizing software PRO/E and ANSYS establish a finite element model of guardrail terminals subject to impact loading, and a reasonable simulation test. The results show the new guardrail structure has a perfect energy-absorbing ability, security and reliability, can absorb most of the collision energy and avoid the serious occurrence of guardrail terminals to insert the interior.
