Abstract
Using Maxwell 3D to simulate the measured values of wind farms is susceptible to distortion, resulting in mismatches between the analyzed thunderstorm field strengths of different main towers and the actual thunderstorm field strengths. Therefore, it is necessary to design a new simulation and analysis method for thunderstorm activity patterns in wind farms. That is, to correct the thunderstorm data of the atmospheric electric field instrument, combined with the fitting of lightning current amplitude and lightning probability, to establish a simulation model for the thunderstorm activity law of the wind farm, and complete the simulation analysis of the thunderstorm activity law of the wind farm station. The example analysis results show that the thunderstorm electric field strength of different main towers analyzed is in good agreement with the actual thunderstorm electric field strength, which has good analysis results, reliability, and certain application value. It has made a certain contribution to reducing the thunderstorm risk of wind farm stations.
