Abstract
This study focuses on the impact of uncertainty in renewable energy output on the regional power system balance in Jiangsu Province, China. It highlights that the high-level integration of renewable energy sources brings forth a series of challenges, including increased uncertainty, seasonality, and output fluctuations. The paper summarizes the seasonal and time-of-day characteristics of renewable energy output in Jiangsu Province and outlines output patterns. Furthermore, it conducts an in-depth analysis of the influence of renewable energy on power system balance. The study provides valuable insights into understanding the characteristics and patterns of renewable energy output in Jiangsu Province and summarizes the roles and challenges of high levels of renewable energy integration in power system balance. It emphasizes the importance of adopting a balanced, flexible, and sustainable approach to power supply to promote power system equilibrium.
