Abstract
Phased array technology primarily relies on precise control of the excitation time and sequence of each element in the ultrasonic transducer, generating beams with different deflection angles and focal points. The spatial superposition of these beams on the composite wavefront can achieve specific phased effects, enabling comprehensive scanning of the tested object. In ultrasonic phased array sector scanning, the sampling space of raw data is established in polar coordinates, while imaging display is set in Cartesian coordinates, requiring coordinate transformation. However, transformed images often exhibit significant imaging distortions and lower clarity. This paper proposes an algorithm based on polar coordinates, utilizing bilinear interpolation in Cartesian coordinates for two dimensions. This approach effectively enhances the accuracy and smoothness of sector scanning imaging. To improve the real-time frame rate of sector scanning imaging, a method employing auxiliary matrix querying is introduced. Experimental results demonstrate a 3.8-fold increase in the average frame rate of imaging.
