Abstract
The Taishan stone carvings serve as a vibrant expression of Taishan's cultural richness, representing a significant segment of both Chinese national cultural history and world heritage. This study meticulously gathers and organizes textual and sculptural content from Taishan stone carvings. It employs computer software to extract this information in two dimensions and utilizes 123D Catch software to model the carvings. Subsequently, through digital restoration and redesigning processes, this research aims to create a lasting digital means of preserving the three-dimensional models of these stone carvings. This endeavor contributes to effectively maintaining and inheriting the cultural legacy embodied within the Taishan stone carvings. Furthermore, this study offers insights and guidance for digitally preserving stone carvings and sculptures.
