Abstract
This research delves into the intricate mechanisms of fish sex determination, with a particular emphasis on lampreys, exploring phenomena such as sex reversal. We investigate the influence of lamprey sex conversion on their adaptability to environmental changes, resilience to adverse conditions, and ecological interactions. By applying the Verhulst-Volterra model, this study evaluates the effects of gender ratio variability on lamprey reproductive success and the overall stability of ecosystems across different resource scenarios. Our results indicate that variability in gender ratios significantly improves lamprey survival rates and provides valuable perspectives on the implications of gender diversity for the stability of the global biosphere.
