Abstract
With the rapid development of cognitive neuroscience technology, researchers are focusing on the performance and regulatory mechanisms of working memory in EEG activity increasingly. Working memory is a crucial link in the information processing of the human brain, involving the temporary storage and manipulation of information, and directly affecting learning, understanding, and decision-making abilities. Firstly, this article starts with the definition and role of working memory, introduces the application of EEG technology in the study of EEG working memory, provides an in-depth review of EEG research related to working memory, and explores the application of EEG technology in foreign language learning. Finally, a summary and outlook tend to provide reference for researchers in the fields of cognitive neuroscience and neuroeducation in working memory for foreign language learning.
