A new type dew-point hygrometer using laser light and an optical fiber cable was developed. The hygrometer consists of two parts. One of them is a detector for dew deposited on a rough surface and the other is a control circuit to measure the dew point automatically and continually. The dew points ranging from -10°C to 55°C were measured with an accuracy of ±0.5°C in the temperature range of 0°C to 60°C, that was equal to an accuracy of ±2% in relative humidity.
