Abstract
Neutron resonance spectra in intermediate and heavy nuclei appear simply and regularly in the light of superfine structure (SFS). It is found that the relative shifts between the SFSs in groups of nuclei have definite values and are closely related to the symmetry properties of the compound systems if we treat the neutron zero energy as a common reference point. A possibility of time-based understanding of the SFSs is discussed. It is pointed out that the measurements on parity violation in neutron resonances are important to look into the nature of the SFS.
