Abstract
Nonlinear Kerr effect destroyed the balance of linear dispersion compensation system. Based on the different result of nonlinear Kerr effect on optical pulse with different chirp, this paper discussed unidirectional and bi- directional nonlinear adjustment system, a self regulated system was formed in the latter, it was called `chirp management method'.
