Abstract
Although the emerging of fuzzy sets theory and its application to the region of pattern recognition has pushed greatly the development of pattern recognition, the fuzzy pattern recognition has some defects of itself--it isn't of the function of information fusion, that is to say, it cannot fuse the information supplied by multiple sensors effectively in order to improve the reliability and rate of recognition. A fuzzy reasoning method based on the combination of fuzzy sets theory and Dempster-Shafer's evidence theory is introduced in this paper. For this method, evidence theory is used to add the function of information fusion to traditional fuzzy reasoning method so that the validity and reliability of recognition are improved.
