Abstract
The aim of this work is to generalize the fact that the diffraction efficiency of an holographic volume grating is different for the E-mode polarization and the H-mode polarization in the situation of incidence within the grating recording plane, to the case of incidence in conical mounting. It is shown, from both a theoretical and an experimental point of view, the influence of the angle that forms the incidence vector wave with the recording plane in the diffraction efficiency of two orthogonal reference polarizations and the way the hologram rotates the light polarized in a direction into light oscillating in the orthogonal one.
