Abstract
Infrared target detecting and tracking is an important military application of the infrared technology, but the quality of image and the precision of detecting and tracking system are greatly influenced by the environment disturbance as well as the sensitivity of infrared acquisition equipment. A real-time fully-digital processing approach in an infrared target detecting and tracking system is introduced. In this paper, based on a comparison study on the present methods for quadrature sampling of signal, the sufficient-necessary condition for the sampling frequency choice is analyzed, and the choice range has been extended. Correspondingly, a new fully-digital approach for in-phase and quadrature components extraction is proposed and the expected results is obtained in experiments.
