Abstract
Design procedures of waveguide aperture antennas are presented. Determination and calculation methods for number of waveguides, number, width and location of radiation apertures, as well as location and slanting angles of feeding waveguides are expatiated. Wide-arm coupling resonant aperture summer-subtracter with half-height waveguide is designed. Influence of aperture mutual coupling on radiation performance is studied. Antenna computation and design is finished based on the theory. Simulation results reveal that gain of the sum lobe is 29dB and the first side lobe is -20.8dB at 12GHz, and the subtract zero depth arrives at -30dB. Level of the first side lobe of sum can reach -27dB after optimization of genetic algorithm. With compact structure, the designed antenna can attain good sum and subtract azimuth patterns, voltage standing wave ration and gain.
